For nearly a decade, Rachel Cohen has been working her way up through the ranks of the competitive mountain biking scene, and, most recently, triathlons in New England. In 2015 she finished her master’s degree while working full time as a high school teacher, training for her first half ironman and planning her wedding.

After reaching the podium at the Wilmington/Whiteface 100k mountain bike race last year—in the midst of an already packed schedule—she qualified for one of America’s toughest mountain bike races, the Leadville 100. Rachel heads to Colorado in August to test herself. Here’s a glimpse into how she does it all.
