With Mother’s Day on the horizon, we asked Active Endeavors boss lady and supermom Missy a few questions about #momlife, her ideal day, and what she’s currently loving at the store.
1) What’s the best part about being a mom?
We are in a really good place right now. My kids are five and three years old. The world is still a magical place to them. They appreciate and notice everything. I love their creative imaginations. But it’s the way they look you in the eyes. It’s pure love, it just makes me melt. I’d love to stop the clock and stay right here. I could continue being the hero and they wouldn’t outgrow snuggling.
2) How would you like to spend Mothers Day?
We actually had a great night a few weeks ago. The weather was perfect. We were all home and playing in the backyard. We had just brought home a puppy a few days before. The kids were laughing as the puppy chased them. We didn’t need to be anywhere and nothing had to be done right away. We could actually enjoy the moment. If only we could recreate that again on Mother’s Day. But in reality one kid will skin their knee and the cats will chase the puppy.
3) What are some of your favorite things in the shop right now that you think would make for great Mothers Day gifts?
*Patagonia Atom- This is one of my absolute favorite things. I like that you carry it on your back so it doesn’t slip off your shoulder when you bend over. It’s a great size. Mom’s bags are always full of tricks. It can easily hold a phone, wallet, cars, playdoh, diapers, or whatever my little one doesn’t want to carry anymore.
*Chacos- I love my Chaco sandals. I bought my first pair around 20 years ago and they are still in great shape. They are great for all day comfort and support. They can be worn everyday, hiking, or at the beach. They come in a bunch of fun colors this season and even a soft foot bed is available.
*Rain Jacket- With all the rain we are getting this week. It’s great for walking the dog, standing around at soccer games, and travel. They are lightweight, packable, and colorful. We even carry it in a longer trench length.
