Brad Dains

First and foremost, I am a husband and a dad to 4 wonderful children. After the duties of home life are done, I am an ultra distance runner, a road and trail runner, a mediocre blogger and part-time comedian…just kidding on the last one ☺ I am strong in my faith and believe that I was created to inspire people to find the best parts of themselves.

As a former food addict and someone who spent the early years of adulthood hovering around 315 lbs (I’ve since lost around 130lbs), I am determined to show people that no matter age, weight, physical abilities or disabilities, life is best spent adventuring and exploring the boundaries of what we think are possible.

I’ve been fortunate to complete seven 100 mile foot races (including one on a treadmill), four 24 hour events running around Gray’s Lake, a handful of trail ultras and sub-ultras, a bunch of 5k’s, 10k’s and half marathons with a 5k PR of 18:55. With all of the running/racing that I’ve done, I love the “>26.2” distances. I’ve got goals to run the most prestigious 100 mile mountain race in the US, the Western States 100. I love spending time outside with my family and teaching them ways in which to enjoy the world around us.

My hope in a partnership with Active Endeavors is to inspire people to think outside of “possible” of what life has given each of us and explore the “impossible”.
